creating community through celebration

The Midsummer Revels

You love the Midwinter Revels–now join us for our first Midsummer Revels! This special fundraiser for California Revels is more than a party; it's a chance for everyone, young and old, who's ever wondered what it's like to take the Revels stage and be part of creating the magic. Learn new songs, hone your country dance moves–you might even contribute your instrument to the town band, study Morris dance or act in the Mummer's play.

At the end of the day we'll come together in a sylvan glade for a public performance, followed by a festive reception and auction.

Like the Christmas Revels, the show will feature a Children's Chorus for kids 7 and up, with a special track for children's singing, dancing, and crafts. Special discount for families!

Come in costume, if you can! Think of an enchanting Midsummer's Eve, with flower wreaths, flowing dresses, perhaps a hint of faerie, or your favorite Robin Hood character. Revels will provide hats and some props.

Revels staff will include David Parr, Artistic Director, Shira Kammen, Music Director, Jeri Reed, Choreographer, Anne Bingham Goess, Associate Music Director, Bill Batty, Morris dance, and Jamie Perez, Children's Chorus.
