Summer Solstice with Shira Kammen

Join us again on the Longest Day of the Year, June 21, 2026, at Live Oak park in Berkeley, where we’ll sing, dance, picnic and revel under the stately oaks and redwoods. Music Director Shira Kammen will lead us in beautiful songs for Midsummer, and Artistic Director Jeri Reed will teach some simple, lively English folk dances for all. The Revels Solstice Ensemble chorus will be on hand to entertain with participatory songs from American, English, Ukrainian and Latvian folk traditions, and Berkeley Morris and other local teams will delight with traditional dance. Plus light refreshments and flower crown-making.

Join us for this free event!

Sunday, June 21, 2026, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Live Oak park, Picnic Area #2 (off Walnut St., near the Berkeley Art Center).

Improvisor, a star in the medieval firmament, and yet refreshes everyone with her music.
